Taking in the Smoky Mountain Beauty With Family

Camping and adventures are popular ways for families to come together, especially in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas. Gatlinburg itself is heavily geared toward tourists and travelers, and serves as a convenient vacation spot for Tennessee and North Carolina residents alike. After you’ve spent some time exploring the shops, restaurants, and local lore of Gatlinburg, why not complete your trip with a white water rafting trip through the Smoky Mountains?

Whether you’re a seasoned river kayaker or looking to experience river rafting for the first time, guided white water rafting tours will give everyone in your group an experience they’ll remember for a long time. For the more adventurous in your group, the rush of rafting down the natural mountain rivers is like nothing else. And for those that would rather admire the scenery? The Smoky Mountains don’t disappoint with a timeless, majestic beauty.

Smoky Mountain white water rafting for the whole family

Located less than an hour away from Gatlinburg, Big Bear Rafting is your source for white water rafting for all experience levels. It’s easy to plan an afternoon for rafting regardless of where your vacation takes you, and you’ll leave feeling like you’ve truly done something different that your family will be talking about on your ride back. We have different rafting trips available depending on intensity and time of year you’re booking, so you have options for your first and return visits.

What is a day so memorable without photos, right? While we generally don’t recommend you bring valuables on the raft, such as cameras, we do get about 10-15 professional photos on each raft trip that you can purchase on a photo CD afterward. If you do want to take your own pictures we recommend a waterproof camera for the trip. You’re going to get wet white water rafting, so don’t bring anything that has to stay dry. We offer secure storage at our office for your valuables before the rafting, however.

If you’re planning a vacation in the Asheville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, or Knoxville area contact us to book a white water rafting trip! We’d love to show you and your family a great time in the Smoky Mountains and make your vacation something to be reminisced about for years to come.
